A Short note on the Rapture

1st Thessalonians 5:1-11

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

My beloved Brethren in the Lord, and in the message of the hour, it is a great honor unto me to share with you a sudden but striking concern on the long but short to coming rapture. Heard a minister preach on the subject of the rapture on the 17th of August, 2014…and eversince something just keep striking me to dive more into the message and the Bible to search more. Before this sermon; being new in Norway and looking and experiencing their transport systems I was comparing it to the rapture, there are certain issues that I would like us to consider with open mindedness. Because, if it they are so, then “it is later than we think”, as the Prophet use to say when it comes to issues like the one under consideration, the rapture or the coming of the Lord.

We usually say or hear preachers say the rapture can take place at any time, but have we really sat down to consider what really is the proof of that in relation to what our prophet said about it that even in His day he use to say “…it is later than we think”?

If I may say, isn’t it later than we are thinking of seeing a pope brought out of the United States of America..? Has it not been fulfilled? We must always remember this, that the fulfilment of God’s prophecies are not so glaring that the natural mind can grasp it immediately or the natural eyes see it at the point or time it is being fulfilled, unless it is past and gone and something else that needs to come after it has happened before. And also, that we should be reminded that God’s prophecies undergo a process and immediately that process begins that is the whole thing coming to pass…so if you wait for the final fulfilment before you know it has fulfilled, you will definitely be disappointed like the Pharisees or like how people has been through all the ages. And you would be told “it happened and you did not know” or like Jesus told His disciples, “And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.” Matthew 11:14

†          Oh, my beloved friends, don't let that door shut. Jesus said, "As it was in that day, so shall it be in the Coming of the Son of man." (Thank you, brother.) "So shall it be in the Coming of the Son of man." Now, there's somebody is going to get caught outside that door. Many of them might have had good intentions, and, "Someday, if such things happen, we'll go in with Brother Noah, 'cause he's a fine fellow." But, you see, it caught just eight inside.
Now, think hard now. If you are laying around, getting doty, get in. Hurry, quick, 'cause the door might close at any time.

Are people not going to be disappointed, to see or know that the rapture has passed long ago when they see the anti-Christ enthroned?

Many people are talking about the rapture and yet they don’t really know what it means, or how or what it takes to make the rapture or even where to be gathered for the rapture. Yeah, there must be a gathering point, because, the Bible says,

“And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.” Luke 17:37

And it is the eagles that are making the rapture not the crows nor the hawks, they have their place and their appetite.

There is a lot of hullaballoos about the rapture and I have been thinking about that for sometime now, and the Lord seems to be giving me some revelations and confirmations by so many events that have transpired in my life, having experienced them myself.

And this seems to make it all clear to me that, “you cannot arrive at your destination matter how well you know the place, if you go on the wrong bus, train or plane.”

†          And there's always been an ark in God's economy. There was an ark in the days of Noah, for the saving of His people. There was an ark in the days of the law, ark of testimony. In the days of the law, they followed the ark.
And there is a third dispensation now; like Noah's time, Lot's time, and now this time. There is an ark now. And that ark is not a denomination, neither is it a good works that you do.

"It's by one Spirit," Romans 8:1, "we are all baptized into one Body, in the domain of that Kingdom, one Spiritual baptism."

No matter how good, how bad, whatever, you're in that Kingdom by--by Holy Ghost baptism. See? That's the only way you overcome. It's all that is under the shed Blood is overcomers, 'cause you cannot overcome, yourself. It's He that overcome for you. You're resting.
"How will I know then, Brother Branham, that I'm in There?" Watch what kind of a life you're living. Just look around. See if it's just lived out of you, automatically. Or, you have to strain and pull, see, then you're doing it. But don't try to do it. Did you ever try? Yeah. Don't.

People are talking about the rapture but have not joined the right kind of transport to take them there, hence how can they get there? They are only presuming and feeling and comforting themselves that they are on the right means but how unfortunate they are…hope they realise it fast so they don’t fulfil the portion of the foolish virgins. But would they accept it at all, even if they are told or they recognise it themselves by the mercies of God, that it is not by a denominational bus nor by the train of good works or the plane of self-righteousness?

One thing also, “you can be at the right bus stop, train station or airport; but if you do not watch for the signs of the arrival of your bus, train or plane you would fool around only to be left behind or out of haste join the wrong transport to an unknown destination.”

So, if we are trying to follow the Message of the hour, or at least this part of the Message, we should live constantly in the Life of Christ. See? Cause, if it don't, you lay around, and know That, these things that you're supposed to do, and don't do it. The Bible said, "He that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it's sin." Then you become doty, rotten, when you're separated from the Life of God. So, strive with all that's in you, to stay in the Life of Christ, that you be fruit-bearing.

Having experienced this events myself, I find it so striking to say that we are at the endtime and we know a lot of prophecies given by the Bible and our Prophet…and as usual many are watching some future events or fulfilments and soon many would be asking, “isn’t there suppose to be a rapture first?” only to be told it happened and you didn’t know. But may it not be “YOU”. Because, you are “a child of the LIGHT and not of the darkness that this thing should take you on aware”

†          I might mention another character. In the days of Lot, Jesus referred to it, there were only three that overcome, Lot and his two daughters. Not even his wife; didn't overcome. She--she started out. She's a type. Wish we had time. My thirty minutes is up right now. See? See? She, she done all right, she left.

Now I've got to give this to you, just a moment. Many of you has left, too. Many of you left these things, to take your stand, after you search It through the Scripture and find It's right. You seen the vindication of Almighty God; not by some, what somebody said was a vindication. What the Bible said would be, and here It is doing it. You saw It was the Truth. So, you've set out, to leave Sodom, leave the denomination, leave the things that bind you to a creed; and to follow Christ, by the Holy Spirit vindicating Himself by the written Word of God. Other words, you took the Bible instead of the creed. You've set out, to follow.

†          Well, Lot's wife did the same thing, you know. She set out, to go with Lot, follow her husband, her children, her loved ones, but It wasn't in her heart. She still loved the world. So it's possible you can make a start, and still be the world in you. See? She never overcome. And even though she was well on the road, it finally overthrowed her. She had to take that one big, long, last look. There's where she got caught. Don't even look back. Don't have no desires. Keep going. Put your mind on Calvary and keep moving towards Christ. See?

†          She started out, as an overcomer, but she never did overcome. Oh, she left the denomination. She did. She walked out of Sodom, with Lot. But she wanted to go back and have her hair cut. You know what I mean. See? She had to go back. She just couldn't stand the--the test. She had to look back again, to see what the rest of them was doing. "Oh, you know, I had some good friends down there, after all. And, after all, this might be just a little--a little move. I don't know whether it could be right or not. I--I've only got this man's word for it, though he's my husband. But yet..." Your pastor is your husband, spiritually speaking, you see. "Now, whether it could be right or not, I don't know. Maybe his revelation wasn't right."
Then, if you're not perfectly satisfied, you're not perfectly know that It's the Word of God, then--then you can't go. See? You got to be really sold out. You've got to know. Not just say, "Well, I see others doing it. I see a sign."

†          You know, Israel started out, I could say the same thing and bring it in here. They started out, two million strong, and ended up with two men. Right. They saw the works of God. They saw the manifestation of the Spirit. They saw great, mighty miracles being done there in Egypt, and everything, and started out. But it--it wasn't in their heart. They didn't overcome. They just come out. And Jesus said, "And they perished in the wilderness," and are Eternally dead. "Every one of them is dead," that means Eternal separation. Every one of them rotted in the wilderness.

†          But there was two men, Joshua and Caleb. And when it come to the showdown, the obstacles was so great till they looked like grasshoppers side of them. Joshua screamed out with Caleb, and said, "We are more than able to do it." Why? "God said so." And they were overcomers. They overcome. They was the ones that was privileged, out of that whole great organization of people, to take the real, elected Bride into the promised land. Joshua and Caleb in the front lines out there, as the two generals, led them right down to the river, and crossed the river, over into the promised land. Why? They believed the Word, no matter what.

The Prophet said the rapture would take place and so many people would not know about it. This is   not to create any fear and panic, but it is just to alert the Bride of Christ to be on guard. Watching for every sign at any time and also living as if Jesus is coming the next minute. However, it is not a matter of knowing per se whether the prophecy is fulfilled or not but rather a matter of being ready at anytime, because, it may be fulfilled without our knowledge just as it was with the disciples concerning John the Baptist.
But if you are prepared and ready at anytime, at the right place or on the right flight at the right time, you are bound to arrive at your destination, just as Noah and his household did. Just find out if you are at the city of refuge in your day and that you are content with the conditions and nstructions of the place and you will surely be there!!!
†        We're just to wait on the coming of the Lord. Just wait; keep your lamps trimmed, all filled full of oil. Pray up every hour, not every day, every hour. Just keep ready; be ready; be sweet, and watching...

Oh, we're watching for the coming of that glad Millennium day.
When our blessed Lord shall come and catch His waiting Bride away.
Oh, my--oh, my heart is filled with rapture as I labor, watch, and pray,
For our Lord is coming back to earth again.
That's it; that's the hope of the church this hour.

This is just a short introduction to the subject, we would discuss some of the vital issues in an article on the rapture to know what the rapture is, when and where it would take place, what does it takes to make the rapture, how would it be. We would give scriptural references and types and give the quotes on how the Our Prophet taught us and how we believe we are there now.

God bless you!
